Plants of all shapes and sizes grow in the wilds of East Texas, and too often we overlook them due to the fact that most plants are simply just green, brown, and sticky. 

Join us to find out that there is a lot more to your average plant than meets the eye, from the nutrients it provides to the purpose it serves in the environment. Make sure to come prepared for a sunny, warm walk around the island trail.

• Bring: Water, sunscreen, and bug spray.
• Meet: At the bridge
• Cost: Entry fee is $4 for adults 13+ and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.).
