Let your imagination blast off with captivating constellation stories and an stargazing evening stargazing with friends!

Discover the wonders of the cosmos as volunteer astronomer, Chris Emory, shares captivating stories behind the constellations, bringing the night sky to life with rich tales of mythology and discovery. As you listen to the stories, enjoy stargazing through a telescope for a closer look at distant stars, planets, and other celestial wonders.

Meet: 8:15 pm @ the Lakeside Day Use Area

Bring: Dress for the weather, your own blanket or chairs, binoculars, and red lights only, please! 

Cost: Free with park admission (or free with a Texas Parks Pass). Arriving after hours? Please use the self-pay station at Park HQ.

After Hour Passes: You can reserve your pass online here. If you do not reserve your day pass ahead of time online, you will need to come with exact change or your Texas State Parks Pass to fill out a self-pay envelope at the Front Office.
