Fishing 101

New to fishing or need a refresher?

Join us as we cover the basics of casting, knot tying, fish ID, and responsible angling, all the things you need to get started and enjoy a day on the water!

Meet: 1:00 PM @ the Lakeside Day Use Area

Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, close-toed shoes, fishing gear, and bait.

Cost: Free with park admission, you can reserve your daily entrance ticket online here. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass. 

Note: There is a limited amount of loaner gear available for use. Please bring your own gear if you have it. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
