Fishing Outreach

Spend the day fishing with your favorite anglers, whether you catch a fish or some memories it will be a “reel” good time!

This program is for everyone no matter your fishing experience level or age.

Participants will learn how to cast and operate a spin-cast fishing rod, to identify and handle fish in a safe and fun manner, and compete in our “Backyard Bass” casting tournament with the “Biggest Fish” & “First Fish” competitions following.

Meet: 10:00 am @ the Lakeside Day Use Area

Bring: Dress for the weather! Bring lots of water, sun protection, and a competitive spirit. Personal fishing gear is encouraged but not required.

Cost: Free with park admission (or free with a Texas Parks Pass), please stop at the front office for your entrance pass before proceeding to the lake.
