Star Party

Bring a chair or blanket and journey to the Moon with us as we uncover its rocky surface and other lunar wonders through the keen eye of a telescope!

Set your sights on our closest celestial neighbor! Join us for an evening under the stars as we take a closer look at the Moon, discover some of the features that shape its surface, and explore the lunar landscape before seeing it for yourself through a telescope.

Meet: 7:15 pm @ the Lakeside Day Use Area

Bring: Dress for the weather, your own blanket or chairs, binoculars,  water, bug spray, and red lights only, please! 

Cost: Free with park admission (or free with a Texas Parks Pass). Arriving after hours? Please use the self-pay station at Park HQ.

After Hour Passes: You can reserve your pass online here. If you do not reserve your day pass ahead of time online, you will need to come with exact change or your Texas State Parks Pass to fill out a self-pay envelope at the Front Office.
