CCC Hike

Explore the older hiking trails in the park with park rangers and dive into the story of the CCC Boys; the young men who helped build many parks, including Mission Tejas.

Come discover the story of Mission Tejas State Park's early beginnings as a forestry park in the 1930's!

We will be hiking a mile-and-a-half course on Big Pine, Olen Matchett, Lightning and Cemetery Hill Trails with stops along the way at several landmarks that tie into the park's early stages, including the Sentry Pine.

This hike will be somewhat difficult with several changes in elevation.

Where: Meet at Park Headquarters outside the Visitor Center. Restrooms available here.

When: Nov 1 @ 2:00 PM.

Cost: Regular Day-Use Pass for the park.
