Fishing with a New Angle
Sat, October 05, 2024
Come to Mission Tejas and learn how to fish while learning about the wildlife that calls our fishing pond home!
Ponds are more than the catfish and sunfish we catch for food and sport. Each pond is a neighborhood full of low-key scavengers, peaceful producers and hungry predators that all add to the life of the pond.
Come join us at Mission Tejas to get a new perspective on pond life and then get ready to wet a line in the hopes of catching a sunfish or catfish!
Please RSVP for this event as we have a limited number of fishing rods to hand out if you don't plan on bringing your own!
Where: Mission Pond at Mission Tejas State Park Day-Use Area.
When: Oct. 5 @ 9 AM.
Cost: Regular daily admission is $3 per person. Kids 12 and under are free as well as carriers of a valid Texas State Parks Pass.
What to Bring: If you have your own fishing gear, feel free to bring it! Please wear close-toed shoes and keep your eyes out for weather updates on our Facebook and/or Instagram pages as the event nears.
