Come on a foraging hike with the park interpreter to explore the many uses of local plants!
The forest is full of plants that have sustained local peoples for centuries! Everything from medicine to furniture and food can be found out here!
Come discover how plants were used to treat headaches, learn how to identify harmful plants and maybe even pick dewberries!
We will be meeting at the Park Visitor Center. Restrooms will be available. Please call ahead so we know how many are coming (only so many dewberries!) Contact info is to the left.
When: May 3rd @ 10 AM.
Cost: Regular day pass into the park: $3 per person. Kids 12 and under and carriers of a valid Texas State Parks Pass get in for free!
