Full Moon Hike (Registration Required)

Walk in the light of the Hunter's Moon on this guided hike!
Join one of our rangers as you hike beneath the beautiful glow of the full moon! Hear the history and lore behind lunar cycles and experience the night from the perspective of our wild neighbors such as owls, frogs, and more.
Pro tip: Make a day-use reservation ahead of time to ensure entry into the park. THEN email Ranger Kate to secure your spot on this program! In your email, include how many participants you're signing up and if there any are minors. Thank you!
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Date: Sunday, October 25
Meet: Crappie Cove boat ramp
Distance: We will hike the Lakeshore Accessible Trail, cross the spillway and Tucker Lake Dam, and take Buttonbush Trail down to Mesquite Grove and back.
Due to the spillway and stairs to cross the dam, this route is not recommended for strollers or wagons.
Bring: Good hiking shoes that you don't mind getting wet, plenty of water, and a redlight flashlight
