Beginner-Accessible First Day Hike (Registration Required)
Ring in 2026 with this easy Ranger-Guided hike in the newest park in Texas!
This easy, 1-miles hike guides visitors down our accessible Raptor Ridge Trail with a stunning view of Russell Creek along the way. With trail surface packed down until smooth, this route is excellent for strollers, wheelchairs, or anyone looking for an easy walk to experience the unique beauty of Palo Pinto Mountains State Park.

Registration: Registration is HIGHLY recommended. There is a limit of 40 participants for this event. Please fill out this form to register for the hike of your choice.
Bring: Water, good hiking shoes, and dress for the weather
