History Hike

Step back in time as a ranger guides you through our historic hills.

Come hear about the long history of the people who have called this area home for generations. From nomadic people groups to industrialization, these hills are filled with stories.

Participation in this program requires day pass permit from a day-use reservation or overnight reservation. If you have not already done so, secure your permit and make a reservation now.

After making your reservation, be sure to register for this program.

Meet: Crappie Cove

Distance: We will hike a 2-mile loop down Lakeshore Accessible Trail, across the dam, down to Mesquite Grove, and back to Crappie Cove. You can find this route on our Trail Map.

Bring: Water, good shoes, sun screen, bug spray
