Birding with a Ranger

Join our park ranger in viewing local and migrating birds!

Beautiful and rare birds pass through the park every day! Whether you are an avid birder or a novice, come join our ranger for a guided look at these feathered friends! We'll hike down to the falls area, but stay up in the trees.

• Meet at the Bird Blind parking lot to join in!
• After a brief birding lesson and binocular practice, the hike will be about 1/2 a mile.
• Email us if you'd like to reserve a pair of binoculars while you are birding!
• Normal Entrance Fees required to enter the park, no additional fees to attend this event.
• To guarantee entrance to the park, make your reservations here!
• Download apps ahead of time to help you identify and log your findings. We like to use eBird, Merlin, iNaturalist, and Seek for our citizen science goals!
• Event is weather dependent. Check this page the day before the event to see if it has been changed due to weather.
