Come find local plants and cacti with a Master Naturalist!
Join us this Friday for a guided hike through the park as we look for native plants that are important to the wildlife here at the park, some of them being various types of cactus!
This hike is led by one of our local Master Naturalists who has been volunteering and researching plant life here at Pedernales Falls State Park.
- Meet at the Picnic Area parking lot to join. Arrive early to be sure you make the hike.
- No fee to attend. Normal Entrance fees are still required to enter the park.
- Hike is about 1 mile over even terrain and mowed grass. There is drinking water and bathroom facilities nearby.
- Wear comfortable clothing for the weather and shoes for walking through grass and pokey plants
- Child and dog friendly. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
- Event is weather permitting. Decision to cancel or not will be made the day prior to the event.
