First Day Hike - Madrone-Juniper Ridge Loop

Its your first hike of the year! Start it off with an adventure!

Start your year off right with a first day hike!

Join us on a rugged hike in the southern part of the park! We'll be combining Madrone Trail and Juniper Ridge Trail with a few others to make a loop of about 3.5 miles. Along this section of trail we'll look for fossils, reptiles, and cacti!

• Meet at the Madrone Trailhead Parking lot found on CR201.
• Trail is about 3.5 miles long on rugged rocky terrain. There is some elevation change that is not very steep.
• Wear comfortable shoes for hiking on rocky surfaces and weather appropriate clothing.
• Child and dog friendly if they are able to hike for 3.5 miles (About two hours)
• Normal Entrance fees required to enter the park, no additional fee to attend this hike.
