Join us on a hike through time, starting in modern history and hiking down to 300-million-year old fossils!

Pedernales Falls State Park has a very long history that is riddled with extreme changes in environment. Join our park ranger as we hike down and pass through human history all the way down to bedrock that was laid down 300 million years ago!

  • Hike will leave from the Main Falls parking lot.
  • Hike will be about 1 mile and will have uphill and downhill portions. Child and dog friendly. (Dogs must be on a leash at all times in the park) Hike ends at the Falls where you can explore on your own!
  • Wear comfortable hiking clothing for the weather.
  • Bring plenty of water for yourself and any pets you bring.

Normal entrance fees required to enter park, no additional fees or registration required to attend the event.

You can now reserve your entrance permits to this park! Go to our Reservation page to purchase your day pass ahead of time!
