Powderhorn State Park Public Meeting - Round Two - Port Lavaca

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is hosting the second round of public meetings to address public use and outdoor recreation possibilities at Powderhorn State Park. Join us to provide your input and ideas for our newest coastal state park!

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is hosting the second round of public meetings to address public use and outdoor recreation possibilities at Powderhorn State Park. We will be utilizing the information previously gathered to inform the updated public use plan.

The purpose of the meeting is to present revised public use plan concepts for review, and to collect public input for the new Powderhorn State Park, a 2,300-acre state park that borders the Powderhorn Wildlife Management Area and provides public access to Matagorda Bay and Powderhorn Lake shorelines. Maps showing the Public Use Plan which contains proposed facilities and recreational uses will be available for viewing. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. ALL interested citizens are invited to attend.
