Marvel at the Moon

Come explore the moon with us!

Join a ranger to explore the moon with a telescope, craft a star chart, and learn what we can do to protect the future of our dark skies. Red light flashlights are encouraged!

• Time: 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm
• Meet: Solar Trail
• Bring: Water, walking shoes, bug spray, red-light flashlight, weather appropriate clothing.
• Cost: Free with park admission ($5 per person, 13 years and older). If arriving after 4:45 PM, please use self-pay station (cash only) located at office parking lot.

Purtis Creek has one grit wheelchair readily available for checkout. Please contact Ranger Jenna at Jenna.Lombard@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve & check availability.
