Fishing with a Ranger

Join a ranger for some fishin'!

Join a ranger for some morning fishin'! No fishing license required and great for visitors of all ages and skill levels! Loaner gear provided but personal gear is still welcome! 

• Time: 10 am - 11 am
• Meet: Day use fishing pier - features accessible walkway and pier! 
• Bring: Plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, fishing pole, chair, bug spray, & a snack. 
• Cost: Free with park admission ($5 per person 13 years and older). Free entry with Annual Texas State Parks Pass. 

Please note: adult supervision is required for minors.

Purtis Creek has one grit wheelchair readily available for checkout. Please contact Ranger Jenna atJenna.Lombard@tpwd.texas.gov to reserve & check availability.
