Early Bird Gets the Worm

Start your day with a peaceful stroll through the Kids Fish Pond Trail and discover the local bird species that call the park their home.
Birding is one of the fastest-growing outdoor activities in the world, combining elements of a real-world treasure hunt, citizen science, and mindfulness.

What to Bring: Water, Sunscreen, Closed-Toed Shoes, Weather Appropriate Clothes, Binoculars (Loaner Equipment Limited), Smartphone Apps pre downloaded such as Merlin Bird ID and eBird

This program is included in park entry fees. 

Ray Roberts Lake State Park is known to sell out during weekends and holidays. It is strongly recommended to book a Day-Pass prior to your arrival.
