Explore the night skies in San Angelo!

Join Ranger Kennie and local astronomers in exploring the night skies of San Angelo. Learn about how light effects what we can see and the Summer Constellations. 

Location: Red Arroyo Campground Boat Ramp

• Drive straight down the main campground road from the south entrance.
• Main parking will be the lot with the dumpster right at the curve
• The star party and scopes will be set up just down the hill across for the boat ramp itself. 

 Bring: Water, chair, blankets, red light flashlight or headlamp (if possible)

Cost: Free with park entry

Entrance fee for the park:
$4 for adults 13 & up.
Free for children 12 & under.
Free for Texas State Park Pass holders
 

*Note - This is an after-hours program and dependent on weather. Reserve your day passes online or utilize the self-pay station at the entrance for this program.
