This is a free event to attend. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Youth Catch and Release Fishing, 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.
- Live Reptiles, Learning Activities, and More, 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
- Birds of Prey Show, 11 AM & 2 PM
Rules and Guidelines for Youth Fishing: Join Sea Center Texas for a morning of catch-and-release fishing. No registration required. Bring your own equipment (Sea Center will supply volunteers with nets, however, you are responsible for bringing your own rods, baits, chairs, sunscreen, water, etc.) No artificial lures Bring your own bait (dead shrimp or squid; imported shrimp is NOT allowed) Barbless hooks only. No treble hooks, steel leaders, corks, or floats allowed. Only one rod per eligible youth can be used at a time No rod holders allowed No chumming allowed This event is for youth 16 years old and younger.
What to Bring:
- Fishing gear and bait
- Water
- Snacks
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Be prepared to have fun!
