Taking Flight Scavenger Hunt

Fly on over for a bird scavenger hunt!

Fly by the Pond Pavillion or Headquarters to get your talons on a scavenger hunt sheet to find some fathered friends along the trails. 

This is a self-guided, park-wide scavenger hunt. Please leave the laminated birds where you find them. Be sure to cross them off the sheet while you go!

When: Saturday March 8 through Tuesday March 25, 8am-5pm

Where: Meet in the Pond Pavilion.

Distance: The birds are scattered throughout the trails, be prepared to walk 1-2 miles on flat gravel and boardwalk surfaces. 

Bring: Water. Water fountain located in Heron Plaza near restrooms.

Wear: Lightweight layers, a hat, and comfortable hiking shoes. SPF and bug spray recommended. 

Cost: FREE. Sheldon Lake State Park requires no permits or day-use fees.
