Kid Fish Tournament

Come on out and let’s go fishing!

Do you think you can catch the biggest fish in the lake or maybe even the smallest? Well let’s find out and come compete in the Kid Fish Tournament.

Don’t have a fishing pole? Well, that’s alright we have a few you can borrow.

This Kids Fish Tournament is for kids 5-15 years of age. Regular admission to the park applies but to register for the event is free.

The  grouping are as follows: 5-7yrs, 8-10yrs, and 11-15 yrs. Each kid needs to have a parent present.

Location: Buck Lake and Tube Exit

Park in the first Day Use parking lot and walk down the river trail to the right of the parking lot to Buck Lake. 

Please register by May 28th by emailing Edward.terry@tpwd.texas.gov. Onsite registration is accepted but early registration is preferred. 

In the email, please include age of the child and if you are going to borrow a fishing pole.

Bait: worms only (we will have some available as well)

Lures: any 

Fly or rod / reel 

Buck Lake is only catch and release.
