Bring the family for a self-guided hike that features a read-along story about a turkey getting ready for school!
Plan your own time to enjoy this day-long program walking the Interpretive Trail and reading a fun story along the way! Just in time for school to start, bring the family on a short hike through a turkey roost area to read about a turkey that is getting ready for school!
Where: Interpretive Trail
What to Know/Bring: The story will begin at the start of the Interpretive trail, located across from Buck House. The hike is about .5 miles, is shaded under trees the majority of the hike, and ends at the Main Day Use Parking. Please remember water, sunscreen/bugspray, good shoes, and a snack just in case!
Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: Be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
