Join us for an introduction to birdwatching and learn how to observe and identify the many species that call the park home. We will explore basic identification skills, helpful features to look for, and simple ways to spot birds in their natural habitat. This program is great for beginners and anyone curious about the world of birds.
To get the most out of your experience, consider downloading the free Merlin Bird ID app or eBird before you arrive. These tools can help you identify birds, learn their calls, and keep track of the species you
- Meet: Barred Owl trailhead
- Time: 8:30-9:30 AM
- Bring: binoculars, sunscreen, bug spray, dress for the weather, a hat, etc.
A limited number of binoculars are available to borrow, and you must email in advance to reserve a pair.
Note: There are no restrooms in this area, so please plan accordingly.
