Stephen F. Austin State Park is for the birds. Come see why with Wildlife Biologist Matt Johnson!

Curious about the birds you see (and hear) around you? Join us for a one-hour birding program in the Day-Use Area of Stephen F. Austin State Park—no hiking required! Matt Johnson, Wildlife Biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife, will guide you through the basics of bird identification, share fascinating facts about local species, and explain the important roles birds play in our ecosystems.

Whether you're brand new to birding or just looking to sharpen your skills, this program is a great way to connect with nature and learn from a pro.
