Think you could find your way without Google Maps or GPS? Put your navigation skills to the test and discover the fun side of map-making and orienteering! This interactive program is designed for ages 10–12, and blends creativity, teamwork, and real-world survival skills into one adventurous morning.
All materials provided. Bring your curiosity and get ready to explore!

Audience: Teens (ages 10–12) Space is limited, so first come, first served.
What You’ll Do:

📍 Map Basics – Learn how to read park maps and the four essential parts of every map.

✏️ Make Your Own Map – Step outside and create a real map of your surroundings.

🧭 Treasure Hunt Challenge – Work in teams using a compass and treasure map to find hidden tokens you can redeem for prizes.

🎉 Wrap-Up – Share discoveries and walk away with new skills for real-world adventures.
Entrance is included with park admission. Adults are $5 per person, Children 12 and under are no charge. Texas State Park Pass holders admitted free of charge!
