Second Saturday with Steve: Field School Report

Unearthing an 18th‑century Spanish Presidio and how you can join future TAS field school digs.

San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site Archeologist, Dr. Sarah Chesney, will talk about the annual Texas Archeological Society Field School that took place June 13-20th outside of Rockdale, Texas. The field school is looking for an 18th century Spanish Presidio. The talk will also cover what field school is and how to get involved in the future.

Time: 12:30-1:30 pm

Cost: This program is included with the purchase of a Daily Entrance pass. Adults are $5 per person, Children 12 and under are no charge. Texas State Park Pass holders admitted free of charge!
