During the 86th Texas Legislative Session, HB 1300 granted authority to the Parks and Wildlife Commission to develop an off-bottom oyster mariculture program. A key component of this program is to track proposed oyster mariculture sites and seek public comments of the proposed activity. Comments can be made at the public meeting or through email at oyster.mariculture@tpwd.texas.gov.
