What is On-Site Registration and eOSR?

eOSR electronic on-site registration To enter or to participate in hunting at many of the hunting units in the Public Hunting Lands Map Booklet, you must register on-site (OSR) or electronically (eOSR). You can register with eOSR when the badge is shown on the hunting unit map in the Map Booklet Legal Game Box or on the Information Station signage at the unit.

For eOSR, use the TPWD Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app on your smart device or the online web version before arriving at the unit.

For paper OSR, you sign in and deposit Part A of the OSR form at the unit's Information Station registration box when you arrive. When leaving, you deposit Part B of the OSR form in the same registration box. Paper OSR forms are available at select WMAs Information Stations.

Paper OSR Instructions

You must fill out the top portion (Part A) of the form and deposit it in the registration box before beginning your activities on the unit. The bottom portion (Part B) must be filled out and placed in the registration box before leaving the unit. Photocopies are acceptable if more forms are needed. Please note that most WMAs and State Parks require On-Site Registration to be performed using the area specific paper forms only.

On-Site Registration is required each time a person enters or exits this unit of public hunting land. Complete PART A upon arrival and place in the Registration Box before entering the hunting area, and carry the bottom section with you. Complete PART B prior to leaving the area and drop in the same registration box.
