Hunters must take at least two (2) does before a buck may be taken. A third doe can be taken, but it must be before you shoot your buck. All selected hunters must attend a mandatory orientation at Postcard Hunter Check Station on October 11, 2025, at 10:00 am. Drawn hunters who do not show up will forfeit their permit and it will be added to the standbys. Standby drawing will take place at Postcard Hunter Check Station on the same day at 10:30 am. Call Nails Creek HQ at (979)289-2392 the evening before the hunt to verify standby availability via recorded message. All standby hunters must be present no later than 10:30am the first day of the hunt, latecomers will not be accepted. Drawn hunters must arrive by 10:45am. Drawn hunters who do not arrive by 10:45am on the first day of the hunt will forfeit their permit and it will be added to the standbys. Hunters are responsible for removing game. Camping may be available.

Use of ATVs, UTVs, and horses are prohibited. Corn must be in original container and marked as containing less that 20ppb aflatoxin. No other types of baits allowed. Hunters must mark projectiles with name and permit number.
Hunt Method
Compartment; Compartments accessible by hiking, mountain bike, or boat only. Vehicular access is restricted to public roadways. Removal of the harvested animal from portions of the park to the nearest road can be very strenuous, game carts are recommended.
