General Access
There are two entry point and parking areas at the north section of the Pawnee Inlet Unit. CR 3404 and CR 3405, off of CR 3401/03 near Lone Oak, are used to access the area.
A portion of the Pawnee Inlet Unit is a park area where no hunting is allowed. FM 1571 from Lone Oak passes the north section of the unit and continues to the south near the lake where the park is located.
The Caddo Creek Unit has an entry point and parking area off SH 34.
The Duck Cove Unit has an entry point and parking area off CR 3827 which is just off FM 751, seven miles north of Wills Point.
Nearby facilities include: Camping, picnic areas and a four-lane boat ramp available in Lake Tawakoni State Park on the south shore. There are five other public boat ramps and numerous privately-owned access facilities in the immediate vicinity of the lake.
Permits Required
Visitors 17 years and older must possess an Annual Public Hunting (APH) Permit or Limited Public Use Permit (LPU) Permit.
Only hunters must meet requirements for an APH Permit. Public users other than hunters are not subject to public hunting regulations.
