Centennial Time Capsule Moves to Davis Mountains State Park

AUSTIN— The Centennial Time Capsule, which encompasses 100 years of Texas State Parks history, is once again on the move and enroute to its winter home at Davis Mountains State Park as part of its 50-year trek to every state park across the Lone Star State. The time capsule, which houses one object from every state park and support program, went on display at Blanco State Park in April of this year.

1,720-acre Bear Creek State Park Becomes Latest Acquisition to Texas State Parks

AUSTIN— Soon Texans will have a new spot in the Hill Country to explore thanks to the latest Texas State Park land acquisition in Uvalde County. Bear Creek State Park is 1,720-acres and located less than a mile from Garner State Park, one of the most popular sites in the state.

67th Texas Game Warden, Texas State Park Police Class Completes Training, Begins Service Across Texas

AUSTIN –Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) graduated the 67th Texas Game Warden and Texas State Parks Police cadet class May 30 at Bannockburn Baptist Church in Austin.
