AUSTIN— Soon Texans will have a new spot in the Hill Country to explore thanks to the latest Texas State Park land acquisition in Uvalde County. Bear Creek State Park is 1,720-acres and located less than a mile from Garner State Park, one of the most popular sites in the state.

FORT DAVIS— The historic Indian Lodge, nestled within Davis Mountains State Park, has completed its extensive remodel and is now open for reservation. This historic and treasured West Texas retreat was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s and features white adobe walls and southwestern charm.
EUSTACE – Purtis Creek State Park has partnered with the Get Outside Alliance (GOA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving state parks, to host a volunteer workday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17.
ABILENE— Renovations of the historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)-era pool at Abilene State Park are underway and expected to continue through the summer, leading the site to remain closed to the public.
AUSTIN — The Nature Conservancy in Texas (TNC) and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) are pleased to announce the purchase of Heath Canyon Ranch, a 671-acre property located just outside Big Bend National Park.
