ATHENS—The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) is proud to announce that it is now part of Toyota Texas Fest presented by JBL, a three-day festival of events to be held May 20-22 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. ATHENS— Free fishing will once again be allowed at the Tyler Nature Center during our annual spring break trout event from March 7 through 10 (8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon). No fishing license is required, and anglers will be allowed to harvest up to five trout each.

AUSTIN – Breakthrough legislation passed by the 84th Texas Legislature is providing a significant increase in dedicated funding for Texas state parks. House Bill 158 dedicates 94 percent of state sales tax revenue attributed to sporting goods to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for state park facilities and operations, plus funds to help cities and counties across the state build and improve community parks.
