TPWD to Host Public Scoping Meeting on Fisheries Management in the Colorado River Basin Following July Floods

BUCHANAN DAM – On Nov. 17, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) Inland Fisheries Division, along with the Lake Buchanan Conservation Corporation (LBCC), will host a public meeting at Hill Country Hall to discuss impacts of the July floods on fisheries resources in the Colorado River basin,  fisheries management plans to support flood recovery and listen to public input.

Topics slated to be covered at the meeting include:

  • Highland Lakes / Colorado River Watershed Fisheries Overview
  • Guadalupe Bass Status and Flood Impacts
  • Riverine Community Recovery and Research Context
  • Invasive Species Management Update
  • Questions and Discussion
