Support TFFC
The important efforts of TFFC are tremendously enhanced by the Friends of TFFC and volunteers. To support TFFC through your time, talent, or treasure, consider making a donation to the Friends of TFFC or volunteering your time and expertise.
Volunteer
Volunteers donate their time and talents to enable the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center to offer more and better services to its visitors.
Volunteers work with visitors at the fishing ponds, assist with tours of the facility and give general assistance to visitors. Some with special talents or interests help with the State Fish Art Contest, help in exhibits, and working with the hatchery staff.
If you are 16 years of age or older, responsible, have a positive attitude, and can donate at least eight hours a month, we’d love to talk to you about becoming part of the TFFC volunteer family.
Here are two ways to get connected:
- Contact Volunteer Coordinator Craig Brooks at (903) 670-2222 or go to The TPWD Volunteer Page .
- If you are already a volunteer for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, go to the volunteer signup page to find opportunities at TFFC.
Friends of TFFC
The Friends of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) is a 501(c)3 dedicated to supporting and enhancing the important efforts at TFFC. Although TFFC is a state-owned and operated facility, it relies heavily on foundation, corporate, and private support for its programs and such support makes all the difference. TFFC is fortunate to have such a dedicated support group that exists exclusively to raise funds for special projects, programming, and construction at TFFC. The Friends of TFFC Board is open to any interested individual, organization, corporation or other institution.
To support the important work of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center call or email us at (903) 676-BASS (2277) tffc@tpwd.texas.gov to discuss serving or making a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of TFFC, or mail at Check to “Friends of TFFC at 5550 FM 2495, Athens TX 75752.”
