Ed Baker – Obituary and Assessment Call

Ed BakerServices for Ed Baker, 63, of Montalba, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. John Wisener officiating. Burial will be in the Wynn Cemetery in Limestone County under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Baker died Friday at his home.

He was born Feb. 9, 1944 at Thornton to Arville Baker and Mary Rogers Baker.

He was a member and former Deacon of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Baker was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Before retiring, he had been for many years, a game warden for the state of Texas.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: John, Charles, Bobby and Billy Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Baker of Montalba; son, Ed Baker and wife Sandy of Tennessee Colony, sisters, Carolyn Alewine of Groesbeck, Patsy Cox Amason of Mexia, Mary Krumnow of Reisel and Dorthy Anderson of Calvert; and two grandchildren, Ray and Ami Baker of Tennessee Colony.

Pallbearers will be David Raybin, Eddie Lehr, Paul Gluck, Robert Carlson, Gary Dugan, Karen Gray, and Tony Norton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Pike and Dwight Myers.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Mutual Association (TPWD Mutual Association) regrets to inform you of the death of another of our members, Ed Baker .

Ed became a member of the TPWD Mutual Association on May 31, 1983. He retained his membership up until his death on July 6, 2007.

Additional information on Ed is on the reverse side of this assessment letter.

A check in the amount of $5,355.00 will be delivered to Ed's wife, Beverly.

An assessment in the amount of $16.00 will be necessary to bring the policy fund back into balance to have payments on hand for two members in case of death. Please make this payment by August 8, 2007.
