Glenn Mitchell – Obituary and Assessment Call

Glenn C. Mitchell, Sr., 93, of Greenville, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, in Longmont, Colorado. Glenn was born October 11, 1928, in McKinney, Texas to Leslie Royce Mitchell and Cordie E. Green. He married Betty Ruth Reed on June 19, 1949, in McKinney, Texas. He retired as a Texas Game Warden after 33 years of service and worked for Coker-Mathews Funeral Home after his retirement. He was a long-time member of Central Christian Church where he served over the years as Trustee, Chairman of the board and Elder, he also served as member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge #354, Scottish Rite Dallas Lodge.

He is survived by his sons, Butch Mitchell and wife, Gloria, and John (Buddy) Mitchell; daughter, Kathy de Haas and husband, Robert; brother, Luther Mitchell and wife, Ruth; grandchildren, Scott Mitchell and wife, Bonnie, Kyle Mitchell, Jade Fisher and husband, Jason, Kristy de Haas, and Leslie de Haas, great-grandchildren, Harlow de Haas, Lucy Grace and Eli Mitchell, and Adrian and Mitchell de Haas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mitchell, parents, grandson, John Matthew Mitchell, sister, Elizabeth Mitchell, and daughter-in-law, Viki Mitchell.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Mutual Association (TPW Mutual Association) regrets to inform you of the death of one of our members, Glenn Mitchell. 

Glenn became a member of the TPW Mutual Association on July 21, 1958.  He retained his membership up until his death on July 11, 2022.  A check in the amount of $5,000 was mailed to his daughter, Kathy de Haas, on July 15, 2022. 

An assessment in the amount of $20.00 will be necessary to bring the policy fund back into balance to have payments on hand for other members in case of death.  Please make this payment by the due date listed above.
