Civil Restitution Program Overview
January 2004

I. Executive Summary: Law Enforcement staff will outline the agency’s civil restitution program. The item will explain how the state assesses the value of wildlife taken in violation of the Parks & Wildlife Code and the progress made on collecting those assessments. Collections have improved as a result of legislation that allows TPWD to refuse renewal of any license until restitution is made.
