29th Annual Great Backyard Bird Count

Join the Great Backyard Bird Count at Daingerfield State Park to enjoy the outdoors, count birds, and contribute to the conservation of our feathery friends!
Accessibility: Parking will be available at Day Use Areas. Restroom is available at Pavilion. Drinking water is available nearby or bottled water in park store. Path to program is pavement and mowed grass. Possibility of short trail walk for forest birds.
Program Expectations: Program will consist of locating, hearing, and spotting birds with our eyes/ears and binoculars/Merlin Bird ID. We will record this data using the phone application eBird. All data will be recorded by the ranger's eBird track during the "ranger led" portion.
When: 8 - 9a
Where: Pavilion/Day Use Area

Program is included with park entry fees: $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Dress for the weather!
