Star Party!

Bring a chair or blanket and join a ranger on a guided tour of our night sky! We will also have multiple telescopes set up for you to view celestial objects!
Accessibility: Parking will be available near Day Use and surrounding areas. Restroom is available at Boat House. Drinking water is available nearby and bottled water is available for purchase inside the park store. Path consists of pavement and mowed grass with rock steps down to Amphitheater.
Program Expectations: PARK WILL BE DARK. Program will consist of a constellation tour, telescope viewing, and presentation. Telescope will be provided for but feel free to bring your own if you do not want to wait in line or need some practice with yours! Binoculars are also recommended to get a closer look at these objects. Please do not bring white lights ONLY RED LIGHTS ARE ALLOWED. *Some wildlife becomes more active at night. While this is great for experience, safety precautions are at a high. Snakes, skunks, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, biting insects, tripping, and many other hazards may present themselves during the program. Please stay with the ranger at all times if you are not familiar with these hazards.*

- Telescope (optional but encouraged!)
Program is included with park entry fees: $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. Please use the self-pay kiosk after 4:45 p.m. if you are not camping with us to pay for your entry fees. Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Dress for the weather!
