National Park Lands Day - Hawk Watch

Celebrate NPLD with this all-day* long Hawk Watch featuring thousands of hawks migrating over the park!

Accessibility: Parking will be available near Day-Use and surrounding areas. Restroom is available at the Pavilion. Bottled water is available for purchase inside the park store. Path consists of pavement and mowed grass.

Program Expectations: Program will consist of learning to use binoculars, identifying raptors, and watching potentially thousands fly over the park during their peak migration!

When: 9a - 2p (OR 5p if active)

Where: Pavilion/Day-Use

What to bring: 

• Water
• Sun protection
• Binoculars (8x42 or greater recommended)

Program is included with park entry fees: $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Dress for the weather!
