Self-Guided First Day Hike
Mon, January 01, 2024
Recover from the holidays by joining us for a First Day Hike on New Year's Day!
Start your year out by taking a healthy step into nature with us! Your self-guided hike will take you through our enchanting cathedral of trees. There will be a table with maps, information, and volunteer to answer questions. Bring your family, friends, and fur babies with you to enjoy the fun! (All dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Please pick up after them.)
If you can't join us here, this is a statewide event at many of our Texas State Parks.
Meet us at the Main Trailhead in the Day-use Area at 9am to do the easy self-guided hike on the 2.4-mile Rustling Leaves Trail around Lake Daingerfield.
Remember to bring water and wear clothes appropriate for the weather!
Entrance Fees: $4 per adult (age 13+); children 12 years and younger are free.
Check out our Facebook page or park calendar for pictures and upcoming events in the park.
