BioBlitz: Backlighting for Insects

Observe the diverse insects found right here at Dinosaur Valley under UV light!
Dinosaur Valley is home to a diverse group of insects, many of which are active at night! Stop by to examine our insect populations. Visitors are encouraged to take pictures of the bugs they see and contribute observations to iNaturalist. Stay the whole evening or stop by at different times. We will see more insect diversity the later it gets!
Time: 8-10 PM. Come and go, more insects will be visible as it gets darker.
Meet: Amphitheater
Bring: White flashlights and water. You are welcome to bring a UV blacklight as well, we will also have some provided.
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass. Please use the self-pay station outside of park HQ if you are arriving after office hours.

Note: If you do not reserve your day pass ahead of time online, you will need to come with exact change or your Texas State Parks Pass to fill out a self-pay envelope at Park Headquarters.
