Our October 2nd hike is canceled with the current predicted weather forecast. Join us later in the month. Hike with a ranger to one of our least visited dinosaur track sites!
Join a ranger on a guided hike to the Taylor Track Site. This site features a spectacularly long trail (often called the Lone Ranger Trail) containing over 135 steps, over a distance of over 500 feet, making it one of the longest existing dinosaur trackways in North America!

To register for this program, please email Ranger Katy at kathryn.tiedemann@tpwd.texas.gov with the total number in your group. Limited spots available. reservation will be first come, first serve.
The Hike is ~ 2 miles total. Hike will take place in the riverbed or next to the riverbed, much of this hike is directly exposed to the sun.
Note: This hike is subject to cancellation due to river conditions.
Recommended Ages: 10 and up due to the terrain and route for this hike.
Meet: Dinosaur Models by the Park Store
Bring: Water, closed toed shoes, sunscreen, and weather appropriate clothing.

This program is included in a camping or day use permit. In addition to registering directly with us through email, we ask you still make camping or day-use reservations online in advance for general park entry.
