Community Day at the Devil's Sinkhole

Join us for guided hikes, talks, Color Out Cancer Fun Run, the bat emergence, and a star party. Explore the Devil's Sinkhole SNA like never before!

Location: 6 miles north on 377 out of Rocksprings, TX; GPS coordinates are 30°04'33.0"N 100°08'18.4"W

Please bring: Water, sturdy shoes, snacks or a picnic, sunscreen, bug spray, camp chairs if desired 

Schedule: 

• 9:00 am - Birding Hike (bring binoculars, a field guide or bird identification app if desired)
• 11:00 am - Grasses and Plants Hike (download iNaturalist to help with community science!)
• 12:30 pm - Cave Talk
• 2:00 pm - Grasses and Plants Hike (download iNaturalist to help with community science!)
• 3:30 pm - Birding Hike (bring binoculars, a field guide or bird identification app if desired)
• 5:30 pm - Color Out Cancer Fun Run (1 mile trail run, not suitable for small children or strollers due to uneven ground)
• 7:00 pm - Bat Flight
• 8:30 - Star Party (bring a blanket or camp chairs)

Proceed to the parking lot upon entering the site. Please note the 20mph speed limit and watch for pedestrians and other vehicles.
