Galveston Bay is full of life. As the grasses of the prairie descend into the marsh, the plant and animal life changes with the tides. Become a defender of the bay by learning who and what calls the bay home.
This hike has very little shade so hats and sunglasses are highly recommended. Plan ahead - wear close-toed shoes that you can get wet.
- Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, water, weather appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes that can get wet.
- Meet: Nature Center, then drive to Lake Como kayak launch (number 1 on Trail Map)
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
