CCC Camp

8:30a to 4:30p

The 1930's come to life as demonstrators eat, dress, and sleep just as they would if they'd been camping during the era of the Civilian Conservation Corp. With gear from camp stoves and tents to motorcycles and clothing, this functional campsite will take you back almost 100 years!

Step back in time and see what a CCC-era campsite would've looked like! In the mid to late 1930's, men of the CCC worked together to create many of the buildings and trails still present in many of today's state parks. With such a strong legacy left for so many parks and visitors to enjoy, it's easy to wonder what camping would have been like during that time. Demonstrators will be at their camp all day (and night) camping just like they would've done in the 1930's. Come by and see their equipment, hear their stories, and imagine yourself in the 1930's!

Camp will be set up in the day-use area of the park.

Program is free with park entrance ($4 per adult, free for children 12 and under).
