Explore Bowhunting

Join us as we Explore Bowhunting!

Discover the world of archery and bowhunting with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Community Archery Program. Whether you’re brand new to archery, curious about bowhunting, or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop is designed for all ages and experience levels.

Participants will enjoy hands-on activities including an interactive archery trailer, 3D target shooting, animal processing demonstrations, cooking conversations, gear displays, youth simulations, and more! Equipment is provided—no need to bring your own gear.

Entry Permits
Before arriving at Honey Creek State Natural Area, you’ll need to acquire an entry permit for Guadalupe River State Park. You can either:

  • Visit the main headquarters at Guadalupe River State Park on the day of the event to obtain your permit.

  • Purchase your permit online in advance at Texas State Parks Reservation. You will need to either print the permit or show it on a mobile device upon request. This method is recommended.
