Moth Mayhem

Learn more about nighttime insects and see how many moths we can find!

Come explore Lost Maples after dark and meet some of our nighttime friends. Moths play an important role in our environment, from pollinating plants to being food for other critters. Learn more and enjoy the diversity of moths and other nighttime insects! 

When: August 22 at 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. 

Where: The overflow parking area 

Bring: Bring water, snacks, and personal seating if desired. Wear dark colored clothing and long sleeves to reduce the number of moths that try to land on you.  

Cost: This program is free with admission to the park. Day passes are $6 per person 13 and older. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
